Model9 is a pioneer of cloud data management for mainframes that is on a mission to accelerate digital transformation and adoption of cloud technologies and economics in large enterprises.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and highly motivated Mainframe Quality Assurance Expert to join our R&D team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to learn more about cloud and storage technologies. Responsibilities include:

• Being an integral part of a dynamic and inclusive R&D team
• Working closing with the Product team to align on acceptance criterias
• Taking responsibility for new version releases
• Manual and automatic feature testing
• Planing, prioritizing and managing test plans
• Setting up various network, storage and Mainframe configurations in the lab

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience with Mainframe z/OS systems
  • JCL Language, Rexx scripting and USS/UNIX general skills
  • Familiarity with common z/OS utilities such as IEBCOPY, IEBGENER, IDCAMS, DFDSS, …
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Programing experience with at least one of the following: Java/Groovy/Python/Bash
• Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and analysis skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Team-player that loves to share ideas and work together while also being independent
• Strong attention to detail, while also keep in mind prioritization
• Ability to isolate and focus on high-priority objectives without getting lost in the weeds
