Regional Sales Manager – Federal

Model9, an innovative company backed by Intel Capital, is looking for a sales rock star who can perform at an exceptional level in reaching, nurturing, and closing deals with Federal customers.

As a Federal Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue across multiple Federal customers. A combination of Hunting and Farming to drive long term recurring revenue streams. You will be required to help build new partnerships and develop existing ones to include FSI, OEM, and Application strategic partners.


  • Develop and manage sales pipeline to move a large number of strategic transactions through the sales process
  • Generate revenue and work closely with channel partners to successfully sell Model9’s products
  • Prospecting and penetrating new accounts, nurturing a champion, reaching decision makers and winning deals
  • Define and execute sales plans for the assigned territory to meet and exceed quota through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities
  • Building and presenting business cases and establishing value including creating and presenting proposals to customers with information that demonstrates the ability of the company’s products to meet the customers’ business objectives
  • Drive account strategies and coordinate team selling efforts with partners to close business on a quarterly and annual basis.


  • Minimum of 5 years Direct Federal sales experience
  • Proven experience in selling SaaS or Hardware to Federal accounts
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business with large Federal customers
  • A history of developing customers from the ground up, with minimal resources
  • Passion for developing account expansion strategies and the value of post-sales customer success
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Desire to drive innovation and evangelize new technologies in a way that resonates with customers
  • Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally experience working in both large and start up environments
  • The ability to speak with customers and partners at both a business and technical level
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter, comfortable working remotely and autonomously
  • Ability to travel with the needs of the role
  • Experience in selling with channel and technology partners
  • Comfortable in working with multiple customer decision-makers to drive proposals
  • Presentation skills of technical and business material both in-person and over video conference
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
